Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday (today) expressed solidarity with India as the country is battling with prevailing deadly COVID-19 wave.
PM Imran Khan took to social media to express solidarity and convey his wishes, prayers to the people of India who are struggling to battle with deadly COVID-19 wave.
I want to express our solidarity with the people of India as they battle a dangerous wave of COVID-19. Our prayers for a speedy recovery go to all those suffering from the pandemic in our neighborhood and the world, he tweeted.
The premier highlighted the need for a united response and efforts against the pandemic that has gripped the world.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has also conveyed Pakistan’s support to India during such adverse circumstances.

Prior to this, Pakistan’s Edhi Foundation – one of the world’s largest non-profit social welfare organization, had offered to provide 50 ambulances to India on Friday, a day earlier.
The development comes as India is currently overwhelmed by prevailing deadly COVID-19 wave. The country reported new 346,786 COVID-19 cases along with a 2,624 casualties on Saturday (today).
The country is facing acute shortage of oxygen as hospitals have been overburdened by unprecedented number of COVID-19 patients.
India’s healthcare system has been overwhelmed by the exponential and overwhelming surge in COVID-19 cases with hospitals running out of beds to treat patients.
