ISLAMABAD: The federal government has aimed to increase the conduction of coronavirus tests to 25,000 daily by April 30, said Federal Minister Asad Umar during press conference on Tuesday.
While talking to the media along with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr Zafar Mirza, the minister said that the government has been doing everything to assist the citizens.
He said: “The federal government is working for people throughout Pakistan in each province. It is working for healthcare workers, businesses and other institutions.”
He also briefed the media about Ehsaas program under which the federal government is going to give financial assistance through cheque to millions of household and also, 153 ventilators will be provided to the hospitals countrywide.
Meanwhile, the special assistant on health said that there were 577 new cases reported within a day while 429 patients had recovered so far, with death ratio at 1.4.
According to the latest reports, there are 4009 confirmed cases of coronavirus, with 56 deaths.
