1- Pak Army’s top brass reviews security situation, reiterates support to civil administration at CCC meeting
Pakistan Army’s top brass reviewed global, regional and internal security environment and reiterated military’s support to civil administration pertaining to COVID-19 situation at 240th Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) which was chaired by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ Rawalpindi on Thursday (today).
2- Pakistani rupee hits 22-month high against US dollar
The Pakistan rupee strengthened by 23 paisas against the United States (US) dollar at the start of today’s trading, hitting a 22-month high. According to forex dealers, the local currency is currently trading at Rs152.95 against the greenback. The rupee had closed at Rs 153.18 against the US dollar the other day.

PM Imran Khan virtually addressed 10th D-8 Summit and proposed a 5-point COVID-19 relief plan focusing on economic and financial challenges. Addressing 10th D-8 Summit hosted by Bangaldesh, PM Imran Khan proposed a 5-point COVID-19 relief plan including mobilizing financial resources to recover robustly for the economic and health crises incurred by the pandemic.
4- Pakistan’s Faisal Mosque listed amongst world’s 50 most beautiful buildings
Pakistan’s Faisal Mosque has been listed amongst 50 most beautiful buildings in the world by Roofing Megastore. The announcement of listing of Islamabad’s Faisal Mosque as 16th most beautiful building in the world was made by official twitter account of US Embassy in Islamabad. Faisal Mosque is the world’s fifth-largest and South Asia’s largest mosque.
5- Fifty UK lawmakers question Boris Johnson on Pakistan ‘red list’ travel ban
Around 50 British parliamentarians have questioned the UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson to imperatively answer and give confirmation on why Pakistan and Bangladesh have been added as “red-listed” countries starting from April 9, 2021. Earlier, a British Pakistani lawyer named Barrister Rashid Ahmed had declared that he will be inducting a legitimate challenge to the UK government for abandoning out Pakistan.
