Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa met with his Sri Lankan counterpart and mulled over bilateral relations, security cooperation on Friday (today).
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), General L H S C Silva WWV, RWP, RSP, VSV, USP, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) and Commander Sri Lankan Army called on COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ, Rawalpindi today.
The two sides discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security issues with particular reference to enhanced military cooperation were discussed.
Sri Lankan dignitary praised Pakistan’s continuous efforts for peace and stability in the region, especially in Afghan Peace Process and pledged to further enhance bilateral relations between both countries, said ISPR.
The visiting dignitary also aid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada during his GHQ visit.
