President Arif Alvi conferred Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Civil) on Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Chief – Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan here on Wednesday (today).
Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Mujahid Anwar received the award in a special investiture ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad and was attended by Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak and several other senior civil and military officials.

Earlier, Air Chief Marshal (ACM) Mujahid Anwar Khan paid a farewell visit to COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday. During the Meeting Army Chief lauded CAS Mujahid Anwar’s leadership and professionalism and strengthening Pakistan’s defences.
He also praised PAF Chief’s role during ‘Operation Swift Retort’ along with extending critical support rendered in fight against terrorism.
Mujahid Anwar’s immense efforts and quality leadership has boosted Pakistan Air Force today is a force second to none, said General Bajwa.
CAS Air Marshall Mujahid Anwar Khan
The outgoing Air Chief is a graduate of Combat Commanders’ School, Command and Staff College, Jordan and National Defence University, Islamabad.
Air Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan holds a master’s degree in War Studies and Defence Management. He is also a recipient of Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military).
In his previous appointments, he has also served as Personal Staff Officer to Chief of the Air Staff, Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Operations), Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Operations), Director General C4I, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Support) and Director General Air Force Strategic Command at Air Headquarters, Islamabad.
The Air Chief has flown various training and fighter aircraft including F-16, F-6, FT-5, T-37 and MFI-17 Mushhak. In recognition of his meritorious services, he has been awarded Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military), Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military).
