US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation – Zalmay Khalilzad called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday (today) to mull over bilateral relations and security cooperation.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), matters of mutual interests, regional security issues and ongoing Afghanistan Reconciliation Process were discussed in the meeting between Army Chief General Bajwa and US Special Representative for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad.
The meeting was also attended by Commander Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan – General Austin Scott Miller.
Meanwhile Lt Gen Faiz Hameed – DG ISI and Moeed Yusuf – Pakistan’s National Security Advisor to PM Imran Khan were also present during the high-level meeting at GHQ Rawalpindi.
The visiting dignitary greatly appreciated Pakistan’s role in the ongoing peace process, said ISPR.
