Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Chief of Air Staff – Air Chief Marshall Mujahid Anwar Khan met with Sri Lankan Secretary of Defence – Gen G.D.H. Kamal Gunaratne (Retd) and mulled over bilateral relations and security cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, various matters of mutual interest came under discussion, said the PAF spokesperson. Meanwhile, Gen G.D.H. Kamal Gunaratne (Retd) – Secretary of Defence and State Minister of National Security and Disaster Management, expressed his gratitude to Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan for attending the 70th Anniversary Celebrations of SLAF and said that both countries enjoy commonality of views on various regional and international issues.

PAF Chief’s visit was the manifestation of the strong bond between the Armed Forces of both the countries, especially the two Air Forces, he added.
Furthermore, both the leaders agreed to further enhance bilateral cooperation especially in training and professional enhancement programs.
Air Chief Marshall Mujahid Anwar Khan praised the efforts of Sri Lankan Armed Forces against terrorism, expressed solidarity of Pakistani Nation with Sri Lanka and assured of Pakistan’s support and cooperation.
