Pakistan and China have agreed on undertaking joint efforts aimed at poverty eradication in Pakistan.
As per details, Pakistan and China are mulling over establishing a joint platform for bilateral collaboration and cooperation which will work towards poverty eradication in Pakistan.
SAPM Dr Sania Nishtar met with Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Mr Nong Rong and discussed various solutions for poverty alleviation in Pakistan.
The meeting was also attended by Muhammad Ali Shahzada – Secretary Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division (PASSD).
A draft of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also discussed between SAPM and the Chinese envoy.
The MoU draft over joint efforts for poverty alleviation is currently being framed jointly by Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and PASSD from Pakistan.
SAPM Dr Sania Nishtar also praised Chinese government for successfully uplifting 770 million of its citizens out of poverty over a span of 40 years.
Pakistan and China are working on MoU which will further enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries and will substantially enable Pakistan to benefit from Chinese experience in poverty alleviation.

Earlier, PM Imran Khan had also lauded Chinese President XI Jinping and his government over achieving the remarkable milestone in poverty eradication by uplifting 750 million people in 35 years.
