Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday (today), issued its final list of candidates for the upcoming Senate elections.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting – Fawad Chaudhry took to social media to announce party’s finalized.
PTI’s candidates for Senate elections are as follows;
Balochistan
- Abdul Qadir – General seat
Islamabad
- Hafeez Sheikh – General seat
- Fauzia Arshad – Reserved seat for women
Khyber Pakhtunkwa
- Shibli Faraz – General seat
- Mohsin Aziz – General seat
- Zeeshan Khanzada – General seat
- Faisal Saleem – General seat
- Najiullah Khattak – General seat
- Dost Muhammad Mehsud – Technocrat seat
- Dr Humayun – Technocrat seat
- Sania Nishtar – Reserved seat for women
- Falak Naz Chitrali – Reserved seat for women
- Gurdeep Singh – Reserved seat for minorities
Sindh
- Faisal Vawda – General seat
- Saifullah Abro – Technocrat seat
Punjab
- Saifullah Khan Nyazee – North Punjab
- Ejaz Ahmed Chaudhry – Central Punjab
- Aon Abbas Buppi – Southern Punjab
- Ali Zafar – Technocrat seat
- Dr Zarqa – Reserved seat for women
Earlier on Saturday, ECP announced its decision to extend the deadline for the submission of nomination papers for Senate election to February 15.
The Senate elections are being held for 48 new senators from across the country with the following distribution of seats;
- Islamabad – 2 seats
- Punjab – 11 seats
- Sindh – 11 seats
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – 12 seats
- Balochistan – 12 seats
