The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has extended its travel restrictions for passengers coming from United Kingdom (UK).
As per details, CAA has extended its travel ban for inbound passengers from Britain due to new COVID-19 strain in the European country.
However, travelers with Pakistani passports will be exempted from the travel ban.
Furthermore, CAA’s Director Air Transport Department has issued new SOPs for passengers of Category ‘C’ countries who will now be required to present their negative COVID-19 test report upon their arrival in Pakistan.
Such passengers will again be screened for COVID-19 coronavirus in Pakistan as a safety measure.
Meanwhile, six more countries have been added to CAA’s category C list namely South Africa, UK, Portugal, Ireland and Brazil.
In addition to it, CAA has also revised its regulations, SOPs for category A which includes 23 countries. Passengers flying to Pakistan from these nations will not be required to go through the pre-boarding COVID-19 test.
Travelers from category B countries are still required to submit a negative COVID-19 PCR test report at least 90 hours prior to boarding.
