Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced to utilize Pakistan Army’s services during the upcoming by-elections as troops will be deployed outside polling stations.
As per details, ECP has decided to avail the services of Pakistan Army during the upcoming provincial and national by-elections.
Police personnel will be deployed inside the polling stations whereas army troops will be stationed outside for security purposes.
It is pertinent to know that ECP is scheduled to hold by-elections for around 8 vacant seats for both national and provincial assemblies.
By-elections for Sindh Assembly constituencies namely PS-52 Umerkot, PS-43 Sanghar and PS-88 Malir will be held on on February 16. By-elections will for vacant Balochistan Assembly seats will be held on the same day.
Meanwhile, by-elections for one National Assembly seat and two Punjab Assembly seats will be held on February 19.
