Sikhs in India are fuming as Indian government crackdowns on protesting farmers, claim Jinnah was right to have fought for separate homeland.
Farmers who have marched up to India’s capital Delhi against new agricultural laws have been brutalized by Narendra Mode led Indian government.

Sikhs in India, due to anti-minority policies of right-wing Narendra Modi led BJP government are now voicing their support for Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and his principle stance for a separate Muslim homeland.
Sikhs are now admitting that they were wrong to oppose Mr Jinnah and his demand for Pakistan.
“I think Jinnah was right. Sorry Pakistan,” tweeted Damanjeet Sigh.
As per details, more than 300,000 farmers have marched to Delhi, setting up camps and staging a full-fledge sit in the nation’s capital against government’s agricultural policies and laws.
Farmers are protesting against a set of three laws passed in September this year regarding de-regulation of India’s agricultural sector.
The protesting farmers have been harshly dealt by authorities who have resorted to teargas shelling and intense baton charge wounding at least hundreds of farmers.

The farmers are mostly Sikhs and hence are being subjected to much harsher treatment by Modi government due to being a religious minority.
Such brutal manhandling of peaceful protesters has been widely criticized across the world. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has also condemned mass arrests and police brutality against Sikh farmers.

Jinnah You Were Right
It is worth mentioning that Voice of Sindh in its short film ‘Jinnah you were right’ had highlighted right-wing Hindu extremist who propagate and practice Hindutva ideology and are staunch enemy of religious minorities.
The short film starred Dr Umair Haroon who depicted a Sikh community member protesting against Golden Temple incident and the following brutalities, atrocities that Sikhs were subjected to.
The title of the Voice of Sindh short film ‘Jinnah you were right’ is now being echoed by Sikh sentiments and slogans as well.
