Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced to acquire eight new airliners to cater its depleting fleet of airliners.
As per details, PIA has decided to acquire eight new airplanes by the end of 2021 on ‘dry lease’ for a period of six years.
The jets under consideration for the dry lease are narrow bodies ones, Airbus A3230s and Boeing 737s.
The planes will be able to accommodate around 170 passengers each and will be duly returned after their lease term ends.
The procurement process is expected to begin in January 2021 next year.
