Renowned television artist Anam Tanveer has said that social media is a mirage and that likes, followers and comments are bought.
Expressing her views, Anam Tanveer noted that any female newbie in the showbiz industry now manages to have millions of fans and followers as compared to the industry veteran Faisal Qureshi who has given 50 years to the showbiz industry and have had an illustrious career.
In reality, social media is mostly occupied by artists who are unable to find substantial work in movies and dramas, and hence resort to becoming ‘social media star’.
Responding to a question, Anam Tanveer highlighted that an artist has a creative mindset and approach which distinguishes him from others.
She added that though COVID-19 pandemic has had her confined within the four walls, she in-fact has managed to benefit from the unprecedented circumstances.
The last 3-4 years have been extensively hectic due to shooting and other matters, merely had time to sleep at home, she said.
Meanwhile, addressing the effects of COVID-19 pandemic, Anam Tanveer stated that during lockdown she has been focusing on her weight.
Though I have managed to shed a decent amount of weight I still think I’m a bit overweight, she noted.
In addition to it, Anam Tanveer shed light on her preferences and revealed that Noor and Madhuri Dixit are her favorites in the field of dance.
When asked about her career in showbiz industry after completing her MBA, Anam Tanveer revealed that her even parents question the same fact.
Ever since childhood I wanted to pursue a career in acting and later joined the showbiz industry against my parents’ will, she added.
Expressing her views on the fact that she hasn’t signed any film so far, Anam Tanveer underscored the fact she been offered roles in films on multiple occasions. Director and producer Wajahat Rauf had offered a role in his film ‘Chhalawa’ along with Mehwish Hayat.
However, I declined the role as we’re already such characters in dramas, she said.
Anam Tanveer further added that she doesn’t perceive item song as a negative thing, and in-fact intends to work in action films in future.
