Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar on Thursday, approved five-day parole for Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz.
The decision to approve five-day parole for National Assembly opposition leader Shebaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz has been made so the duo can attend to the funeral proceedings of Begum Shamim Akhtar – Shehbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif’s mother.
PML-N had originally sought a two-week parole for Shehbaz and Hamza in light of Begum Shamim Akhtar’s demise.
Provincial cabinet had recommended a five-day parole for the senior PML-N leaders which CM Punjab Usman Buzdar is said to have approved.
According to sources, Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz will be released on parole on November 27th Friday at 2 pm.
It is to be noted that Shehbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif’s mother Begum Shamim Akhtar had passed away on November 22nd Sunday. She was 89 years old.
Begum Shamim Akhtar’s funeral prayers are scheduled to be offered on Friday (tomorrow).
