Balochistan on Thursday, reported country’s biggest drug bust in 2020 so far.
As per details, Pakistan Coast Guards conducted Pakistan’s biggest drug seizure of 2020 in Pasni, Balochistan.
Around 751 kilograms of methamphetamine and heroin were seized in the drug bust.
The value of the seized narcotics is said to have been around Rs 20 billion in the international market.
Out of the total seized 751 kilograms of narcotics, 143 kilograms has been found to be methamphetamine along with 608 kilograms of heroin.
Sources say that it took officials three days to completely search the boats suspected of smuggling drugs.
Coast Guard had blocked all the major sea routes on Monday earlier this week and had also resorted to additional force deployment along with increased surveillance after it received a tip-off regarding drugs being smuggled to South Africa.
Prior to this, the largest drug bust in Pakistan was reported to be worth around Rs 13 billion back in 2019 last year.
