Sitaron se Aagay – a short play on Allama Iqbal’s vision and philosophy is a Voice of Sindh production has been released on November 9th Iqbal Day.
A Voice of Sindh production under Dr Umair Haroon, the short play highlights the contrast between Allama Iqbal’s vision, philosophy and modern day socio-political and ideological dynamics and circumstances.
The play includes various characters including that of Allama Iqbal played by Dr Umair Haroon himself, along with other characters such as Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar, senior politician Firdous Ashiq Awan, veteran cricketer Javed Miandad.
The play follows a humorous tone with dialogues that are satirical in nature and underscore the irrefutable relevancy of Iqbal’s vision and philosophy in modern times.
The play has been written by Iqbal Khursheed and the cast also include Shariq Mehmood, Faiza Qureshi, Nabeela Ejaz and Syed Atif.
The script has been produced by Chaudhry Osama Saeed, directed by Mehroz and Arbaaz, whereas Shujaat Liaquat was the sound engineer and co-editor of the project along with Mehroz, meanwhile Danish was the DOP of the play.
