Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Friday, revealed that Prime Minister Imran Khan will address United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on September 25th.
In a statement, FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi has announced that Prime Minister Imran Khan is scheduled to address UNGA session on September 25th next week.
Mr Qureshi highlighted that the premier will raise Kashmir issue and Indian atrocities in the disputed valley.
The minister noted that that India has failed to suppress Kashmiri dissent by forceful means and draconian policies.
The fact that Kashmiri people burry their martyrs in Pakistani flag proves that the people of Kashmir have still not accepted Indian policies and occupation.
Expressing his views on Reko Diq case, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the stay order on US$ 6 billion penalty against Pakistan is a major success and essential relief for country’s economy which has already suffered due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier on Wednesday, FM Qureshi had noted that the rejection of India’s objection against Pakistan’s political map reflects that it is losing its credibility due to aggressive policies and posturing whereas Russia, despite being India’s closest ally turned down its objection over Pakistan’s political map.
Kashmir is an internationally accepted issue and it needs to be solved in accordance with the United Nations Security Council Resolutions (UNSCR), he said.
