The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday, issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Nawaz Sharif in Al-Azizia case.
IHC bench comprising of Justice Amir Farooqui and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani heard former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s plea for court exemption in Al-Azizia reference case.
During the hearing the court rejected PML-N leader’s petition for exemption from court appearance and issued non-bailable arrest warrants over his failure to appear before the court.
The court also issued directed to initiate proceedings to declare Nawaz Sharif as proclaimed offender.
Meanwhile NAB Additional Prosecutor General Jahanzeb Khan Bharwana
Nawaz Sharif has been instructed to appear before the court at the next hearing.
The case has been adjourned till September 22nd.
