Three soldiers of Pakistan Army were martyred in a road side Improvised Explosive Device (IED) attack in North Waziristan on Thursday.
According to the press-release issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Pakistan Army troops were targeted while providing security to road construction teams in in Ghariom sector on Road Shaga-Nishpa in North Waziristan.
The martyred include 23-year old Lieutenant Nasir Hussain Khalid who hailed from Muzafarabad, Naik Muhammad Imran – 33, married and a resident of Faisalabad, and Sepoy Usman Akhtar – 30, resident of Rawalpindi.
Furthermore, four soldiers were also wounded in the attack.
Following the attack, security forces cordoned off the area and as per the last reports search and clearance operation was being carried out in the area.
