Pakistan Army has distributed over 34,000 ration packs in flood-hit Dadu district of Sindh.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Pakistan Army and Navy has distributed more than 34,000 ration packs in flood-hit Dadu district in Sindh.
As per the army’s media wing, special helicopter sorties are being carried out for evacuating stranded people, provide medical assistance and distribute ration packs to the residents.
“More than 34,000 cooked ration packs distributed so far. Water, eatables and dry rations was also flown to people affected by hill torrent and floods,” said ISPR in a statement.
Furthermore, Pakistan Navy (PN) is also participating in rescue operations, PN boats and hovercrafts are being used in Johi Goth to further assist in relief activities.

Prior to this Pakistan Army conducted rescue and relief operations in around 350 villages in Dadu district as the area has been subjected to substantial flooding after heavy rains breached the Nai Gaj Dam.
“Army Engineer boats are rescuing stranded people to safer places. Medical camp established and providing necessary medical care. Hot meal being served to affected people,” the ISPR had stated.
