Indian government has imposed a curfew in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) in fears of wide spread protests and demonstrations on the first anniversary of August 5th decision to revoke Kashmir’s special status.
Indian authorities have imposed a strict curfew in the disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir, anticipating widespread protests against Indian government’s decision to abrogate Article 370 of the Indian constitution and revoking the valley’s special autonomous status.
“These restrictions shall come into force with immediate effect and shall remain in force on 4th and 5th August,” said the government order.
According to a senior police official, full curfew be enforced throughout Jammu and Kashmir, and only individuals having special passes will be exempted from the curfew restrictions.
Meanwhile police vehicles have been warning people to remain inside their homes, whereas Indian government has tightened security measures across the valley.

Several main roads have been blocked razor-wire and barricades.
In addition to it, telecommunication services have also been restricted and limited by the Indian government.
