Pakistan has decided to grand ‘third’ consular access to Indian spy and terrorist Kulbhushan Jadhav, according to diplomatic sources.
As per the details, Kulbhushan Jadhav is set to be granted a third consular access to Indian government.
According to sources within Ministry of Foreign Affairs, New Delhi ha been apprised of the development via Indian High Commission in Islamabad.
The development comes as earlier, on Thursday, Pakistan gave second consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav under the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations (VCCR) 1963.
Meanwhile, the first consular access was provided to the Indian spy on on 2 September 2019, whereas his wife and mother had already met him in December 2017.
Khulbhushan Jadhav aka Hussain Mubarak Patel was arrested inside Balochistan in Mashkel near the border region of Chaman on March 3, 2016, on charges of working for Indian intelligence agency RAW and being involved in various terrorism and espionage activities inside Pakistan and was sentenced to death in 2017.
India had reached out to International Court of Justice (ICJ) against the verdict, which had directed Pakistan to grand consular access to the accused and in fact turned downed India’s request for Kulbhushan’s release.
