The number of policemen effected from COVID-19 coronavirus has exceeded 2,500 in Sindh have, according to police officials.
According to the spokesperson of Sindh Police, the number of police personnel who have contracted the novel virus now has surpassed 2,500 as Sindh so far, has reported the highest number of coronavirus cases in the country.
Meanwhile 16 policemen have so far succumbed from the coronavirus in the province, of which 14 were from Karachi which is the epicenter of virus outbreak in the province.
The other two COVID-19 victims hailed from Hyderabad, said the police spokesperson.
As per the latest reports 906 Sindh police personnel have so far recovered from the disease, whereas 1,593 are currently being treated for COVID-19 at various medical facilities and some are under self-isolation at their homes.

Sindh has reported a total of 110,068 coronavirus cases with 74,076 recoveries and 1,922 casualties so far.
Moreover, 34,070 coronavirus patients are currently under treatment in the province, of which 33,094 are under self-isolation in homes, while 53, 923 COVID-19 patients are at isolation centers and various hospitals respectively.
