Lahore High Court (LHC), on Thursday, extended the interim bail of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) till July 23.
PML-N leader Shehbaz Sharif, on Thursday, appeared before LHC seeking extension in his interim bail in matters pertaining to assets beyond means and money laundering case.
The two-member LHC bench headed by Justice Abid Masood Naqvi, heard the bail extension plea, in which Shehbaz Sharif’s defense counsel contended that their client suffers from severe health issues and had recently recovered from COVID-19 coronavirus.
During the hearing, Shehbaz Sharif’s lawyers, citing health issues, urged the court to extend his interim bail for another three weeks as their client needed time to recover and intend to appear before the court personally in future.
The court then announced its verdict, and extended Shehbaz Sharif’s interim bail till July 23.
