The Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan has urged the secretaries to the government to ensure the timely completion of developmental projects for the socio-economic development of the AJK.
Presiding over a high level meeting here on Friday he said that despite availability of development funds in different sectors the tempo of developmental activities is very slow, which should be intensified to complete the projects.
He asked them to accelerate the pace of developmental activities so that fruits of development could reach at the door step of common men. He said the present government is engaged in overall development of the state without any discrimination. Exemplary development has been carried out in communication, education, health and infrastructure sectors.
The work on the construction of the road from Bhimbar to Taobutt is in progress. He said Azad Kashmir will enter into revolutionary era of economic development after becoming a part of CPEC. He said this project will not only create job opportunities but will also generate the economic activities in the region.
The meeting was attended by minister for education Iftikhar Gillani, ACSD Dr. Syed Asif Hussain and Secretaries to government.
