A four story building collapsed in Karachi’s Liqauatabad neighborhood on Tuesday night.
As per the reports, a four story building collapsed in Liaquatabad No 5 near Sindhi Hotel area of Karachi on late Tuesday night.
According to police the 60 square yards building had been declared ‘dangerous’ by Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) and was vacated a day earlier.
Five families are said to have been residing in the building.
Police and Sindh Rangers personnel have cordoned off the area, whereas rescue teams are searching the rubble for any injuries or casualties.
No casualties have been reported in the incident so far.

SBCA has been under scrutiny and has been facing severe criticism over increasing building collapse incidents in the metropolis.
Prior to this, a five-story building collapsed in Kalri area of Karachi on June 7, whereas another building collapsed back in March claiming 25 lives.
