An anti-terrorism court on Tuesday, indicted Lyari gang war leader Uzair Baloch in kidnap and murder case of a businessman.
According to details, the hearing of the case against Uzair Baloch, regarding kidnapping and murder of a business man was conducted at Central Jail, Karachi.
During the hearing, Uzair Baloch appeared before the court and was indicted by the ATC judge for the kidnap and murder of businessman Abdul Samad.
The prosecution has accused Lyari gang war leader Uzair Baloch of kidnapping Abdul Samad, demanding a ransom of Rs1 million ransom, and murdering him even after the family had paid Rs 70,000 – a charge denied by Uzair Baloch who has pleaded ‘not guilty’ in the case.

The court has adjourned the case issuing directives to the investigative officer (IO) and witnesses to record their statements in the case.
Prior to this, Sindh government, on Monday, has also released Joint Investigation (JIT) Report on Uzair Baloch which accused the Lyari gang war kingpin of being directly or indirectly involved in the killings of 198 people, extortion, land grabbing, China cutting and narcotics trafficking.
In addition to it, the report also recommended trying Uzair under Pakistan Army Act for his involvement in espionage activities which fall under the Official Secret Act 1923
