Pakistan is set to reopen its border with neighboring Iran from Sunday for trade purposes.
According to the notification issued by Ministry of Interior, Pak-Iran border will be reopened at four points namely Gabd, Mand, Katagar and Chedgi border crossings will be reopened from July 5th Sunday (tomorrow).
The border crossings are being reopened for trade purposes and will see trade activities carried out throughout the week.
“NCOC in conference dated 2nd July. 2020 has decided that “Gabd, Mand, Katagar and Chedgi Borders will remain open seven days a week, from morning till evening as per mutually agreed timings between both countries with effect from 5th July, 2020. ONLY for trade (imports and exports) and unlimited number of trucks will be allowed while ensuring all COVID-19 related SOPs and Protocols,” read the government notification.
Prior to this, Taftan border crossing between Pakistan and Iran, was reopened for a period of seven days for trade activities on June 18.
