President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi on Saturday (today), attended 9th International Maritime Conference and accentuated the significance of ‘blue economy’ and it role in improving livelihood of the people.
As per details, President Dr Arif Alvi attended 9th International Maritime Conference (IMC-21) organized by NIMA under auspice of Pakistan Navy in Karachi.
The premier stressed upon the need to ensure sustainable use of marine resources.
Dr Arif Alvi expressed his satisfaction over Pakistan’s progress towards establishment of ‘blue economy’ and steps towards solving food insecurity issues.
Meanwhile, Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi in his opening remarks, welcomed and thanked worthy speakers, guests and participants.
Naval Chief highlighted Pakistan Navy’s efforts and contribution for promoting maritime awareness, Blue Economy and regional maritime security thru various initiatives, reported DGPR Pakistan Navy.
