Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on Saturday, announced that so far 97 dead bodies have been recovered from the PIA plane crash site in Model Colony Karachi.
According to Major General Babar Iftikhar two survivors are being treated in hospital, whereas army rescue teams and emergency responders are working to clear up the debris to retrieve possible more dead bodies buried under the rubble.
Gen Babar Iftikhar took to social media to announce the relief and rescue operation being carried out by army personnel and that 25 houses have been ‘cleared’ so far.
He also announced that the residents whose homes have been damaged or destroyed by the crash are being accommodated at alternate locations.
