Chairman China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority Asim Saleem Bajwa has said that 85 per cent work on Matiari-Lahore transmission line has been completed.
Asim Saleem Bajwa took to social media to announce the completion of 85 per cent of work on the 660KV Matiari-Lahore transmission line which will ‘will evacuate power North-South, resolve one major issue’.

The project is expected to cost US$ 1.658 billion when completed, and has generated 2,212 employment opportunities in total.
The 886 kilometres long transmission line will constitute 1,972 towers and will have a total evac capacity of 4,000 megawatts.
