Chairman China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority Asim Saleem Bajwa, on Friday, said that Kohala and Azad Pattan power projects will create 8,000 new jobs in the region.
CPEC Authority Chairman Asim Saleem Bajwa met with Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K) Raja Farooq Haider and CEOs of China Three Gorges & China Gezhouba to mull over the issues pertaining to the progress of Kohala and Azad Pattan power projects.
According to Asim Saleem Bajwa the two power projects, worth up US$ 4 billion, will significantly assist the government in tackling unemployment issue by creating 8,000 new jobs.

It is pertinent to know that last week, Pakistan and China signed the agreement for the construction of US$ 1.5 billion Azad Pattan Power Project will produce 700 megawatts of electricity and will significantly assist Pakistan’s efforts to adopt cheap and environment friendly renewable energy.
