Rawalpindi: Seven terrorists have been killed in two intelligence based operations (IBOs) by security forces in North Waziristan and Mohmand Agency.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on Tuesday, announced that security forces raided two terrorist hideouts in North Waziristan and Mohmand Agency, and seven terrorist were killed due to the firefight that followed.
“In North Wazirstan Security Forces carried out IBO in village Idel Khel on credible intelligence info of presence of terrorists. Four terrorists were killed while trying to escape cordon. Cache of arms and ammunition recovered,” read the statement.
The other raid was conducted in Mohmand Agency, where three were neutralized by security forces. IEDs, night vision sights, extremist literature and medicines of Indian origins were recovered from the terrorist hideout.
Prior to this, on March 18, , seven terrorist were killed while four security forces personnel were martyred during a raid on terrorist hideout in Mama Ziarat, seven kilometres, South West of Dattakhel – North Waziristan.
