Four people are reported to have been killed in Karachi after the city was jolted by severe an unexpected dust storm last night.
According to Meteorological Department, the metropolitan city was hit by strong winds of up to 60-70 kilometers per hour, along with light rain in some areas.
As per the details, a 60-year old woman was killed in Saadi Town after a wall collapsed on her, a 22-year old man died in Lyari after a portion of ceiling collapsed, whereas a 15-year old boy and a 40-year old man died in Gulistan-e-Jauhar’s Block 13 and Gulshan-e-Maymar area of the city respectively.
Meanwhile 18 people are reported to have been injured due to strong winds in the city.
In addition to it, power outages were also reported in various localities of the city including, Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 13, Korangi, Orangi, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Surjani, Malir, Landhi, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Gadap, North Karachi, Safoora Goth, Shah Faisal, Shadman Town, Industrial Area, Federal B Area ant others.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the Severe Cyclonic Storm (SCS) Nisarga moved further north-eastward with [a] speed of 20km per hour during last six hours and made landfall near south Gujarat-Maharashtra coast, India.
