26 doctors, who were suffering from COVDI-19 coronavirus, have returned to their duties at Nishtar Hospital, Multan after recovering from the disease.
Several doctors and paramedical staff hand contracted the virus while treating a heart patient at Nishtar Hospital, Multan. The patient was tested for coronavirus, however, his test results came back positive only after he had passed away, said a hospital official.
“We have the passion to fight this virus. It doesn’t matter if you are a senior or a junior doctor, or a paramedic or a nurse. We all have the passion to fight the virus,” said one of the doctors who had returned to duty after recovering from the novel virus.
It is to be noted that, 776 healthcare professionals have contracted the virus in Pakistan, including 440 doctors, 111 nurses and 215 paramedical and support staff.
Around 11 healthcare professionals have died due to coronavirus in Pakistan, including five doctors, one nurse and five paramedics.
Pakistan has reported a total of 30,941 confirmed coronavirus cases, with 667 deaths so far.
