Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police has recovered 16 bodies from a mass grave in the mountainous region of BoboKhel, Kohat.
As per details, the mass graves were identified after the remains were spotted by a shepherd.
The dead bodies are in fact of labourers who belonged from Shangla, and were kidnapped from Khyber Agency back in 2011.
The dead bodies have been removed from the mass grave and further investigation is underway. Meanwhile the funeral prayers of all persons will be offered in Shangla.
Prior to this, a similar discovery, more than 50 bodies had been dug out from mass graves in the Jowakhi mountainous area back in March 2012.
As per local media reports, due to the sensitive nature of law and order in this area, there was no movement of people here. The heirs of the deceased urged the government to recover the bodies, so a rescue operation was carried out today.
