Mirpur/Islamabad: Around 100 patients have been discharged from various AJ&K hospitals after they tested negative for coronavirus as the total number of confirmed COVID-19 patients in the country surpass 2,000.
At least 62 more new cases of corona virus were registered in Azad Jammu Kashmir during last 24 hours. The number of those discharged from various Quarantine facilities in AJK has risen to 100 as 56 of the patients were discharged followed by another 44 patients.
According to the State Health Authorities, 62 fresh cases of the pandemic registered in AJK during last 24 hours, who were then immediately tested by the National Institute of Health lab in Islamabad.
A total of 239 suspects of corona virus have been reported AJ&K, all of whom have been tested and authorities have received 106 reports, of which six have come positive and those individuals have been placed in Quarantine facilities located in various parts of AJK, while the results of 145 of the cases are awaited from NIH Islamabad.
The number of confirmed coronavirus patients in the country have reached a total of 2,039 with 27 deaths and 82 recoveries. As per the area-wise breakdown, Sindh has 676 cases, Punjab 708, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 253, Balochistan 158, Islamabad 54, Gilgit-Baltistan 184 and Azad Jammu and Kashmir six.
